Set in the heart of Shropshire, at the top of the Ironbridge gorge a five minute walk to view the magnificent panoramic views. Ironbridge is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the nine award winning museums and sites tell a monumental story that led to the industrial revolution….

Each course is structured to give optimal tuition in make-up artistry. The courses begin with a PC presentation on the course theory, colour copies of the slides are included in the delegate packs, then a demonstration and are followed with the practical hands on sessions. Students are given hand outs on relevant areas and are encouraged to take notes on any questions raised that are not covered in the delegate packs.
All demo’s and work created by students are
photographed in the photographic studio using Nikon photographic equipment and a hard copy is provided for use in your portfolio. By working on our inclusive models you don't waste time working on other students which is why we are able to offer this level of intensive courses, you will have a 30 minute lunch break and a light lunch is provided along with refreshments throughout the day.
The majority of our courses start at 09:30 promptly and end around 17:30, depending on the group pace, unlike other schools we are happy to run late to ensure that the best possible results are achieved as would be expected in industry. On the Advanced Bridal Makeup Certificate, Advanced Fashion & Editorial Makeup Certificate and Foundation Certificate courses a location shoot in the stunning UNESCO World Heritage site is included, weather permitting.
Structuring courses in this manner ensures that our students leave our courses with the basis of a professional portfolio to industry standard allowing them to promote themselves and gain work. All materials, tools and products, props and accessories to replicate various scenarios required for your portfolio to complete the course are supplied for general use, during the practical sessions.
We use an extensive range of make-up products including, Barry M, Benefit, Beauty Republica Super Cover, Ben Nye, Bourjois, Dinair, Estee Lauder, Fardel, Grimas, Kryolan, Mac, Makeup Forever, Maybelline, Max Factor, Mehron, Paris Berlin, Revlon, Rimmel, Screenface, Too Faced, Urban Decay, Virgin Vie, and Wolfe Brothers to name a few. We can provide advise and guidance on the most suitable products to achieve the best result for the looks that you wish to achieve.
Classes have small numbers to ensure that you are given some one to one attention. Private schools are recognised for training people in skills relevant and necessary to meet industry demands. We give the best aftercare and support to all ex-students, our students are actively encouraged to keep in touch by phone and email for support. In addition, we run two career workshops a year free of charge to all ex-students. You can attend both if you wish. The workshops run on a Saturday afternoon and you get the opportunity to sit with us and discuss your career development and receive advice, guidance and support from us on your career. These workshops will also keep you motivated and focused.
Each student leaves with the knowledge and skills needed to gain work, we offer job seeking guidance as an essential part of the training and support. On completion you will receive a Certificate stating which course you have attended and the components covered.
On certain courses students are assessed on their course work, to be produced in your own time and the results of their practical work and the quality of their portfolios. Students are offered the opportunity to take a test at the end of each course, to reinforce their learning of the theory, although at present, this is not mandatory.
